Bakery

There is a bakery just down the road before the railway line. They offer a great selection of breads as well as some basic grocery items. They also serve breakfast and other snacks throughout the day. They can also offer a limited selection of alcoholic drinks to enable you recover from a long day on the slopes!

Online Bakery - Home Delivery

If you want a very lazy morning you could try the online bakery that will deliver to the apartment in the morning. The link to their order page is here and their delivery charges are reasonable.
Bäckerei - Café Gugglberger

Tennis Club

The tennis club is located at the bottom of Karl Vogt Strasse. Go right when you exit the apartment onto the road. The bar has extended opening hours in the summer and is also open in winter. There is a snack menu and a welcome for all visitors.

Mini Golf - Summertime Only

The mini golf or crazy golf in Schuettdorf is a lovely place to spend the evening after a hike or bike trip. You will find directions on their web page. At the top of the road take a left just before the railway tracks. Keep the tracks on your right until you see a pedestrian crossing of the railway tracks. Cross both the intercity and narrow gauge tracks and go left - the mini golf is right here. There is a basic snack menu and a genuine local welcome here throughout the summer.

Ban Thai

A Thai Restaurant might not be what you seek out when in Austria but you won't regret visiting Ban Thai. The staff are wonderful and food delicious. Space is tight indoors in winter but the dishes will warm you up after a day on the slopes. In summer there is additional tables outside and while spicy food might not be an obvious choice on summer holidays - our children will not let us go home without one visit to Ban Thai.

At the top of the road cross the railway tracks and take a left. Ban Thai is about 300 yards on the left hand side.

In Zell am See.....

In Zell am See you have plenty of Restaurants, Bars and Cafes to choose from, the list below is just a selection that we identify with a brief description.

The Crazy Daisy, Salzmannstraße 8, 5700, Zell am See
This place has something for everyone. They start serving breakfast at 10am and have a good menu for snacks and meals throughout the day. There is a nightclub upstairs that will see you into the early hours. The terrace is the place to be in the summer months with music most evenings from 8pm. Reservation is recommended if you are a larger group at busy times of the year. The staff are super efficient but still have a welcome for all.

The Kupferkessel, Brucker Bundesstraße 18, . Zell am See
You will not leave the Kupferkessel hungry. Portions are generous, the menu is extensive and prices are very reasonable. There is a small basic playground that the smaller kids will enjoy in the summer and there is something for everyone on this menu. There is a large capacity so you will nearly always get a seat except at the very busiest times.

Deins und Meins, Schloßplatz 5, 5700, Zell am See
This is an attractive restaurant in Schloßplatz at the heart of Zell am See. There is a lovely menu and the terrace is attractive in the summer getting some late evening sun. There is little to entertain kids here so we unfortunately don't get to visit as often as we might like!!

Steinerwirt, Dreifaltigkeitsgasse 2, 5700 Zell am See
The Steinerwirt is one of the longstanding hotels in Zell am See. It has a long history in hospitality and the service and menu is second to none. The formal dining room in the hotel is expensive however the outdoor terrace on Dreifaltigkeitsgasse is great in the summer. There is an indoor play area for kids that is accessible from the terrace - definitely one to check out if you have little people!
